Network Infrastructure Consultant
Schumaker & Company is seeking a network infrastructure consultant to assist with network management and software design, development, and support.  The responsibilities include supporting the internal Windows 2003 LAN for Schumaker & Company, as well as performing various technology-related consulting projects for our clients.  This position offers an opportunity to work with a smaller professional firm, while solving problems for larger clients.  As our client base is very wide-ranging, including utilities, manufacturing/distribution firms, service organizations, and governmental agencies, we are able to offer our employees challenging assignments in a number of different industries.

The successful candidate needs to possess the following qualifications:

·         College degree required.

·         MCSE or MCSD certification required.

·         Technical proficiency with personal computer technology, particularly network design and management, including Windows 2003, Windows XP/Vista, Exchange Server, SQL Server, IIS, ISA Server, and related hardware configurations.

·         Proficiency with WAN and VPN technology, including integration of Internet access capability.

·         Familiarity with systems design and programming, including .NET, Microsoft SQL Server, Work, and Excel.

·         Proficiency with Office 2003/2007, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access

·         Prior consulting experience is a plus.

Senior Programmer/Analyst
Schumaker & Company, a Microsoft Certified Partner, is searching for a Senior Programmer/Analyst to manage and perform software development project.  Microsoft certification is required, preferably MCSD.  This is an opportunity to work with a smaller professional firm while solving problems for larger clients.  As our client base is very wide-ranging, including utilities, manufacturing firms, and governmental agencies, we are able to offer out employees challenging assignments in a number of different industries.

The successful candidate needs to possess the following qualifications:

• Technical proficiency with personal computer technology, particularly Microsoft products, specifically Access, Word, Excel, SQL Server, XML, .NET, and web technologies.

• Prior structured design and programming experience a plus.

• Prior consulting experience is also a plus.

Schumaker  & Company is seeking qualified professionals with 5 to 7 years of management consulting experience, coupled with expertise in one or more functional areas involving manufacturing and service industries, state and local government agencies, or telecommunication and utilities companies. Qualified candidates should possess advanced degrees and experience in strategic, operations, and/or information technology consulting; consulting sales experience a plus.
